Dr. K. D. Yarber
Scholar, philanthropist and award winning historian Dr. K. D. Yarber, of Flint, Michigan is the Editor of the Collector’s Edition African American History Calendar. Dr. Yarber is a former journalist who has shared a wealth of knowledge as professor at the University of Michigan-Flint, Davenport University, and the University of Michigan-Dearborn, teaching courses in African American History and African Culture.
K. D. completed the Associate of Education Degree and the Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing Degree at Ferris State University Big Rapids Michigan and earned both his Master and Doctorate degrees at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Collector’s Edition African American History Calendar was first published in 1987. By interviewing scholars' utilizing primary and secondary sources and researching various related books and articles, Dr. Yarber has successfully connect a great deal of rich and inspirational history to actual dates of the events occurrence on a calendar that makes learning history fun and easy.
